Northclad Zinc Flatlock Siding
This skylight will stay waterproof for decades due to the interlocking seams between the skylight flashing and the standing seam panels.<br><br>Notice that the skylight does not need to be raised nearly as high as most configurations. This is also due to the interlocking seams made possible by the malleable zinc material. Click to enlarge.
These custom fabricated standing seam panels feature joints that are folded over twice for maximum leakage protection. If you look carefully, you can see how the seams are rolled under the rake panel for an extra-custom look. Click to enlarge.

The sills of these windows were given a very clean look by eliminating the sill flashing overlap and interlocking the panels with the sill pan. Click to enlarge.

Zinc material can be formed in a variety of shapes or dimensions, including:

  • Flat Interlocking Panels
  • Standing Seam Panels
  • Gridded Panels with Reveals
  • Flashings
  • Copings
  • Gutters

Zinc is also available in several levels of pre-patina, including 'Pigmento' from VM Zinc, which involves very subtle shades of other colors on top of the natural gray patina.

Also, Zinc's malleable properties allow the material to be uniquely formed by field fabricating multiple 'interlocks' at panel and flashing joints as well as rolled standing seams.
